Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project
The Kaleshwaram project has provision for the storage of about 148 tmc ft with plans of utilising 180 tmc ft by lifting at least 2 tmc ft water every day for 90 flood days. The project is designed to irrigate 7,38,851 hectares (over 18.47 lakh acres) uplands in the erstwhile districts of Karimnagar.
VIP DELTA was awarded to provide a durable, high performance waterproofing and protection solution for the walls of the surge pool. This project was applicated by VIP´s well trained local application teams and supervised by the technical department.
The application was done in 3 steps:
1) A basic of shotcrete was applicated on the walls
2) 40 mm PU foam
3) The final Quick Seal PP350 membrane was applicated.
Quick Seal PP350 is a 100% pure Polyurea membrane with high tensile strength as well as good abrasion, impact and chemical resistance properties. The lining can be applied even under extreme climatic conditions (Hot, cold and humid).
